Lactose intolerance is the body's inability to digest lactose, a carbohydrate present in milk. Although the condition usually affects adults, some children and their parents may need to cope with the condition. We spoke to Amy Mihm, Clinical Nutritionist at UW Hospital, and Athena Lyons to see how her family manages this challenge.

Wisconsin Cheesemakers fared very well at the World Championship Cheese Contest, sweeping 7 of 77 classes, taking all awards--gold, silver and bronze. No other US state swept a class. We catch up with Kerry Henning and Mike Matucheski, two of our award-winning cheesemakers, to see what this means to them.

We visit with Lenny Bass & Jake Niffenegger at Lactalis to see their state-of-the-art production facility and learn why they moved from California to Wisconsin to make their award-winning cheese.

Dave Potter, Dairy Connection, gave these youngsters a hands-on lesson in cheesemaking, and we visited with Rebecca Katzenmeyer, Directress at Toad Hill Children's House, to see why she schedules this program.
