WISCONSIN – A dozen Wisconsin destinations are featured in "Traveler's Guide to Wisconsin Dairy," an upcoming episode of the nation's longest running tourism show, Discover Wisconsin. The program, a joint effort of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB) and Discover Wisconsin, airs June 29-30 and will reach more than 250,000 viewers across the upper Great Lakes region, including Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Northern Illinois and Upper Michigan.

Among the destinations featured in "Traveler's Guide to Wisconsin Dairy" are Sassy Cow Creamery, Meister Cheese, Nordic Creamery, Foster Cheese Haus, Burnett Dairy Co-op, West's Hayward Dairy, the Minocqua Cheese Board, School House Artisan Cheese, Scray Cheese, Henning's Cheese and Kelley Country Creamery.

"The Traveler's Guide map is a popular and helpful tool for helping people find some of Wisconsin's tastiest offerings,'" said Liz Fitzsimmons, director of Local Market Communications for the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. "So far more than a million maps have been printed and distributed."

The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has developed a Traveler's Guide Map to America's Dairyland to help vacationers plan a unique day trip, weekend excursion or longer vacation that includes more than 160 dairy destinations, including cheese plants that offer tours.

"Wisconsin has 126 cheese plants in the state producing one or more signature products," said Amy Wallace, writer and producer for Discover Wisconsin. "We're excited to show viewers at home where they can satisfy their passion for cheese and other Wisconsin dairy products."

Tourists from all over the country travel to Wisconsin to sample dairy products and learn about the state's most celebrated food from local cheesemongers. To learn more about each of these destinations and Wisconsin cheese varieties, visit www.eatwisconsincheese.com.
